Eph. 1:3-10

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him.d In love he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved. Fulfillment through Christ.
In him we have redemption by his blood, the forgiveness of transgressions, in accord with the riches of his grace that he lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight, he has made known to us the mystery* of his will in accord with his favor that he set forth in him as a plan for the fullness of times, to sum up all things in Christ, in heaven and on earth.

¡Bendito sea Dios, Padre de Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor, que nos ha bendecido en el cielo, en Cristo, con toda clase de bendiciones espirituales!
En Cristo Dios nos eligió antes de la fundación del mundo, para estar en su presencia santos y sin mancha.
En su amor nos destinó de antemano para ser hijos suyos en Jesucristo y por medio de él.
Así lo quiso y le pareció bien para alabanza de la gracia gloriosa que nos hacía en el Bien Amado.
En él y por su sangre fuimos rescatados, y se nos dio el perdón de los pecados, fruto de su generosidad inmensa que se derramó sobre nosotros.
Ahora nos ha dado a conocer, mediante dones de sabiduría e inteligencia, este proyecto misterioso suyo, fruto de su eterna complacencia en Cristo.
Pues Dios quiso reunir en él, cuando llegara la plenitud de los tiempos, tanto a los seres celestiales como a los terrenales.

Fr. Ben Berinti presented the members of the assembly with the image of Missionaries as living chalices. Chalices must be anointed before they are used, they must be open to receive, and they are used to pour out. He asked that the members reflect on how they experience being living chalices in the present lives and ministry. There was an opportunity to share these reflections in a plenary session.

El P. Ben Berinti presentó a los miembros de la asamblea la imagen de los misioneros como cálices vivos. Los cálices se deben ungir antes de ser usados, deben estar abiertos para recibir y son usados para verter su contenido.
