Lectio Scripture, Sep 18th – Lectio Divina, 18 Sep.
Heb. 10:19-25
Therefore, brothers, since through the blood of Jesus we have confidence of entrance into the sanctuarym
by the new and living way he opened for us through the veil, that is, his flesh,
and since we have “a great priest over the house of God,”
let us approach with a sincere heart and in absolute trust, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience* and our bodies washed in pure water.
Let us hold unwaveringly to our confession that gives us hope, for he who made the promise is trustworthy.
We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works.
We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Así, pues, hermanos, no podemos dudar de que entraremos en el Santuario en virtud de la sangre de Jesús; él nos abrió ese camino nuevo y vivo a través de la cortina, es decir, su carne. Teniendo un sacerdote excepcional a cargo de la casa de Dios, acerquémonos con corazón sincero, con fe plena, limpios interiormente de todo lo que mancha la conciencia y con el cuerpo lavado con agua pura. Sigamos profesando nuestra esperanza sin que nada nos pueda conmover, ya que es digno de confianza aquel que se comprometió. Tratemos de incitarnos el uno al otro en la forma de amar y hacer el bien.
No abandonen las asambleas, como algunos acostumbran hacer, sino más bien anímense unos a otros, tanto más cuanto ven que se acerca el día.

The morning session of the Assembly was devoted to further refining the core values and critical concerns in preparation for drafting the message of the Assembly. Session two provided an opportunity for the Moderator and Councilors to share their reflections on what they have been hearing. Other members offered comments and asked questions of the new General Curia.
La sesión de la mañana de la Asamblea se dedicó a perfeccionar aún más los valores fundamentales y las preocupaciones críticas en preparación para la redacción del mensaje de la Asamblea. La segunda sesión brindó una oportunidad para que el Moderador y los Consejeros compartan sus reflexiones sobre lo que han estado escuchando.
