Lectio Scripture, Sep 13th – Lectio Divina, 13 Sep.
Rom. 12:2-8
Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.
For by the grace given to me I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than one ought to think, but to think soberly, each according to the measure of faith that God has apportioned.
For as in one body we have many parts, and all the parts do not have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ* and individually parts of one another.
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us exercise them: if prophecy, in proportion to the faith; if ministry, in ministering; if one is a teacher, in teaching; if one exhorts, in exhortation; if one contributes, in generosity; if one is over others, with diligence; if one does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
No sigan la corriente del mundo en que vivimos, sino más bien transfórmense a partir de una renovación interior. Así sabrán distinguir cuál es la voluntad de Dios, lo que es bueno, lo que le agrada, lo que es perfecto.
La gracia que Dios me ha dado me autoriza a decirles a todos y cada uno de ustedes que no se entrometan en cualquier cosa, sino que aspiren a lo que se debe buscar. Que cada uno actúe sabiamente según el carisma que Dios le ha entregado.
Miren cuántas partes tiene nuestro cuerpo, y es uno, aunque las distintas partes no desempeñan la misma función. Así también nosotros formamos un solo cuerpo en Cristo. Dependemos unos de otros y tenemos carismas diferentes según el don que hemos recibido.
Si eres profeta, transmite el conocimiento que se te da; si eres diácono, cumple tu misión; si eres maestro, enseña; si eres predicador, sé capaz de animar a los demás; si te corresponde dar, da con la mano abierta; si eres dirigente, actúa con dedicación; si ayudas a los que sufren, muéstrate sonriente.
