“The Spirituality of the Blood of Christ as a Missionary Motivation to Go to the Human and Environmental Peripheries”, was the theme of a recent symposium, held January 17-19 in Lima, Perú.
Nearly two hundred participants from the Latin American countries of Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Perú reflected and exchanged valuable experiences, motivated by the presenters: Father Barry Fischer, CPPS; Dr. Juan Bosco; Sister Isabel Chávez, CBP; and Sister Sonia Pinho de Matos, ASC.
The participants accepted the following challenges:
- to listen to the cry of the blood heard in the abuse of creation and from migrants and victims of human trafficking;
- work to sensitize our communities, promote humanizing relationships and to join forces to create a network of healing and reconciliation, in order to strengthen our mission to restore the Kingdom of God and its justice in the world.
