To me, being missionary in Guinea Bissau means devoting time to find out the presence of the Father among people. We stay with them every day, we are witness to their lives, we know their joys and sorrows in a spirit of “ermondadi”, of fraternity. We discover in them their naïveté, effort and humility. Moreover, we understand how much they suffer from the lacks in the healthcare system, education and opportunities of growth.
We also share their hope in a God that walks with them, as Jesus did, and helps them fight for their dignity. We devote ourselves to the social work to reach a better education for children, a better health for the ill people and access to the drinkable water.
We are committed to civics and religious education for children and youth both in our approved high school and in “Saint Gaspar” parish. Here we teach people the saint’s life, the most important moral and cultural values and we take care of the social and interpersonal relationships. We help youth to grow by promoting the culture and building a critical, responsible and committed social conscience.
