CPPS Tanzania opened the CPPS Bicentennial at a national level on the 29th June 2012 at Kola Morogoro. The theme for this year (2012/13) is the remembrance and celebration of the history of St. Gaspar Del Bufalo and that of CPPS. We are now beginning the observances in the districts.
On the 20th October 2012, the CPPS District of Dodoma met at St. Gaspar Hotel and Conference Centre for such an opening. Along with the presence of CPPS and ASC Missionaries working in Dodoma, the opening was celebrated by Bp. Matthias Isuja Joseph, the Bishop Emeritus of Dodoma and around 1500 participants from groups named after St. Gaspar, St. Maria De Mattias and Precious Blood, all based in Dodoma.
During such celebration, the main celebrants’ homily invited participants to renew life according to the charism of St. Gaspar. Fr. Gregory Mkhotya, the Vice Vicariate Director, led the lighting of the Jubilee Candle and he addressed the relevance of our saint to contemporary society; especially to the entire family of St. Gaspar.

Many participants commented that they found the day enriching and we are encouraged to continue in the same spirit.
Walking towards the Bicentennial Year 2015, through the intercession of our founder and the patrons of CPPS, may the Lord be praised and may people be ransomed by His Blood shed profusely in agony and death on the Cross.
