I see my mission above all in the proclamation of the Word of God and the celebration of the sacraments for the healing and deliverance of people who are wounded and bound, encouraged by and trusting in the word: “By his wounds we are healed.” At retreats, talks, in spiritual direction and during our healing prayer days, I can live this mission. As a concrete example, I would like to briefly describe a healing prayer day: usually more than 100 people take part. A large team of brothers and sisters, including several USC members, contributes to this day through concrete practical assistance, in the benevolent reception of the participants, in the kitchen or in the dining room, in the music service or prayer service. For this we need around 6 – 8 teams. The CPPS’s own confreres as well as priests from abroad are also invited to be available for the sacrament of penance. The day begins with a moment of worship, followed by the Prayer of the Rosary of the Precious Blood with a meditation. Then, it is the time of the catechesis in which, starting from Scripture I talk about topics such as repentance, forgiveness, bonds and wounds that need to be healed and released. After a simple lunch, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration and, in the meanwhile, people can confess their misdeeds or to the prayer service. The day ends with the Holy Mass in which we celebrate and praise the healing and delivering power of the Blood of Christ.
