We have celebrated two major events in the past weeks in the Mission ad Experimentum  in Colombia. The first one on April 6th in the city of Bogota, was the celebration of the 8th anniversary of the foundation of the CPPS in Colombia.

Present for this event were Fr. José Armando Rivas, Fr. Juan Carlos Barajas, Fr. Magnus Tegete and Fr. Angelmiro Granados, some CPPS candidates and 4 new groups of lay associates: San Gaspar, Saint Joseph’s Missionaries, Disciples of the Blood of Christ and Missionaries of Our Lady of the Most  Precious Blood.

We celebrated together the Eucharist in a nice spirit of fraternity.

The second major event was the arrival and the blessing of an image of St. Gaspar in the Parish of Our Lady of the Alps. This statue was donated by our brothers of the Mission of Guatemala.The ceremony began with a procession through the area of ​​our parish. Accompanying the procession were many Christians of the Parish, lay associates, CPPS candidates and priests.

Following the procession, Fr. Marco Tulio Recinos, CPPS (Director of the Guatemalan Mission) presided at the Mass. During the celebration the altar of the Church was consecrated in which there is a relic of St. Gaspar for veneration of the laity of the parish.

We thank God for these celebrations hoping to further strengthen our mission in Colombia.
