Father José Luis Ferreira Francisco, CPPS, has returned to the Father’s house

On 17 August, we were surprised by the sad news of the death of Father José Luis Ferreira Francisco, CPPS, born in Portugal, a member of the Iberian Province of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood.

He was born in Cimadas Cimeiras, Proenca a Nova, on August 10, 1946, he entered the minor seminary of the Congregation in Vila Viçosa. He studied philosophy and theology at Salamanca, Spain, making his novitiate in Rome.

He was incorporated into the Congregation on December 10, 1971 and was ordained a priest on July 9, 1972.

He lived his priestly ministry in the communities of Vila Viçosa, Verride and Proenca a Nova, Portugal.

He worked in the formation of seminarians and parish ministry. In recent years, because of its various health problems he had reduced the pastoral duties but still collaborated in the parish of Proença a Nova.
