Rev. Ernesto Gizzi, C.PP.S. passed away on August 14, 2016 at the community residence in Albano.  He was born on May 8, 1938 and entered the Missionaries of the Precious Blood on October 13, 1950.  After his ordination to the presbyterate on July 4, 1965 he served the Congregation in a variety of ministries including serving as rector at the seminaries in Albano and Putignano.

On August 9, 1977 he left Italy to serve as a missionary in Tanzania.  He ministered in Chibumagwa, Manyoni, Itigi, and Dar es Salaam.

He returned to Italy in 2014 due to ill health.  Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord.  And let perpetual light shine upon him.  May he rest in peace.
