On June 29th at the Parish of Our Lady of the Alps, 22 lay associates renewed their commitment to the Association of Lay C.PP.S. during the celebration of the Feast of the Precious Blood.  Fr. Joseph Deardorff presided at the mass and was accompanied by Fr. Angelmiro Granados, Fr. Robin Urrutia, Fr. Wilfredo Garcia, and Fr. Juan Carlos Barajas.

Hearing the commitment of the lay associates was a very important and significant occasion for the Missionaries.  The laity responded to Jesus’ invitation to be agents of forgiveness and reconciliation in response to the cry of the blood just as St. Gaspar del Bufalo did.  The spirituality of the Precious Blood motivates the Lay Associates to work for the realization of the Kingdom of God.  Over twenty covenants or renewal of covenants were celebrated.

During the homily, those gathered were invited to move forward, not to give up, and to continue growing in the spirituality of the blood. They were called to be missionaries and to live in holiness wherever we are and in this way transform reality. At the end of the Eucharist everyone gathered to have a fraternal agape, where food and stories were shared. The family of the Precious Blood is getting bigger.
