The Tanzanian Vicariate celebrated the annual Precious Blood Week and the beginning of the third year of the Bicentennial celebration.  The events were held on June 24-27 at St. Gaspar College-Kola in Morogoro, Tanzania.

The theme of the week was “Our mission of responding to the cry of the Blood in the world” and touched on the challenges in many areas of our community life and apostolate.  Topics of discussion included hearing the cry of the Blood in parishes, in our institutions, formation program, as missionaries in foreign lands, and in our very own country.

Fr. Francis Bartoloni was the main presenter and began with the development of the Congregation.  He emphasized the three pillars:  mission, community, and spirituality.  Fr. Bartoloni emphasized that spirituality is far more than devotion, instead, it is a way of living and a goal for our life.  We are called to share the passion of Christ.  He explored the various ways the Congregation responds to the cry of the Blood throughout the world.

To reach as many people as possible, the talks will be shared in all districts of the Vicariate and will guide us throughout the year.  May God bless the CPPS worldwide family and may God redeem humanity from all forms of bondage.
