Our Lady of the Precious Blood parish is located in area 16 of Guatemala City and was erected by Archbishop’s Decree on February 14, 1992. The parish is made up of six chapels located in different sectors of the same zone: Santa Rosita (parish center), Lourdes, Acatán, Montesano, San Isidro and San Gaspar.
The mission in the parish represents a real challenge. The invitation of Pope Francis to the synod calls us to listen and dialogue so that participation and communion may be the impulse of the mission in the Church.
In the parish context, the mission invites us to go to all those who are on the outskirts of the city. For us, Missionaries of the Precious Blood, in this parish sector we are called to share, from our spirituality and charism, the call and mercy of God to all those who are far away and indifferent to the message of salvation.
We face this challenge by promoting and enabling a personal encounter with Christ, accompanying and motivating all pastoral and synodal agents for an ongoing formation.
Therefore, our missionary charism impels us to live in a constant mission in the Church.
