On August 14, vigil of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, Diego Javier Gallardo Bravo was ordained a Deacon at Precious Blood Parish in Valdivia, by the hands of Bishop Ignacio Ducasse Medina.

Diego, who consecrated his life to God through the way of the priesthood, is the second son of Mrs. Ana Maria Bravo, and the first of Mr. Luis Gallardo.  His brother Felipe Bravo was ordained a deacon two years ago on the same date.

At the end of the ceremony all who attended the Mass were invited to a cocktail reception hosted by the people of the parish.
