Missionaries in Guinea Bissau Celebrate Ordination

Rev. Eduardo Indeque, C.PP.S.

On June 16, 2018, Missionaries of the Precious Blood from the Iberian Province gathered with dozens of friends and family of Eduardo Indeque, C.PP.S. to celebrate his ordination to the priesthood.  The ordination took place in the parish of Santo António de Safim in Guinea Bissau.  Fr. Indeque chose a verse from Saint Paul’s letter to the Philippians as a theme for his celebrations:  Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus (Phil 2: 5)

Fr. Indeque was born on October 9, 1987, and entered formation with the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 2007.  He completed his philosophical and theological courses at the diocesan seminary and was definitively incorporated into the Congregation on August 7, 2017 at Vila Viçosa, Portugal.

Bishop José Camnate, the local ordinary, presided at the ordination liturgy.  Fr. Eduardo celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving the following day in his home parish of Santo António de Bula.

The Missionaries of the Precious Blood continue to grow in Africa.  Currently there are three Guinean priests serving the People of God in Guinea Bissau.  May God continue to bless the Iberian Province and their ministry.  Saint Gaspar, pray for us!

Fellow Missionaries of the Precious Blood from the Iberian Province gathered for the ordination.
