The dream begun in Giano continues..
The dream begun in Giano continues..

We want to draw your attention to two important documents that we have posted in the documents section.  We have the full Acta from the General Assembly, which along with the daily reports that were posted during the Assembly, will give you a comprehensive understanding of the important work of discernment  that was at the heart of the General Assembly.  But especially, we want to encourage you to read the Message from the XX General Assembly.

The participants of the General Assembly responded to the question: What would the Congregation look like if we are completely fulfilling God’s plan for us?  Our answer is found in the Message.  We have defined a Vision that will guide the Congregation for the next 6 years.  We continued our discernment and got a little more practical and wrote some Provocative Propositions- short statements that expand on the Vision and are focused on the three pillars of Community, Spirituality and Mission. And the next step was to use those Provocative Propositions to develop action steps, that are to guide us as we live the Vision into reality.

These action steps are just a starting point for us as we live into ever greater faithfulness as a Congregation.  They contain challenges that are directed to the General Curia; to the individual provinces, vicariates and missions; and to our members and associates. Please spend some time and reflect on the Message and I ask you: How would you be living and how would you be working if you fully embodied our vision?
