The Meeting of Major Superiors(MMS) was held September 10-18, 2012 at the St. Charles Center in Carthagena, Ohio, USA. The purpose of the MMS, which is to advise the Moderator General and is composed of all the unit directors and the members of the General Council.
The agenda for the meeting included:
- Reporting on activity around the Congregation
- Planning for the 2013 General Assembly
- Approval of the Policy on a Member Working in the Territory of Another Unit (but not in the apostolate of that unit). This now becomes a part of our Normative Texts.
- Discussion on programs of Continuing Formation
- Approval of a Funding Agreement for the General Curia
- Planning and coordination for the Bicentennial observance
Details of decisions and future plans will be made known through the individual units.
