On September 15 the directors of the Congregation gathered in Dodoma, Tanzania for the biennial meeting of Major Superiors.  The Vicariate of Tanzania hosted the meeting at the St. Gaspar Hotel and Conference Center.  The week long meeting included follow-up reports from the 2013 General Assembly and a discussion of the pastoral plan of the General Curia.  The directors also shared information related to the Bicentennial celebrations in their local units.  Friday was devoted to a discussion of the request from the Vicariate of Tanzania to be elevated to the status of a Province.  The directors unanimously approved the request.

Following the business meeting, the directors visited several of the ministry sites in Tanzania including the “Water Project and St. Gaspar School” in Dodoma, the first CPPS parish in Manyoni, and St. Gaspar Hospital in Itigi.  The gathering concluded with a trip to Mikumi National Park to see the splendid wildlife of Tanzania.
