On Saturday, May 13, 2017 dozens of Missionaries of the Precious Blood, seminarians, friends, and family gathered in the Church of the Annunciation of Mary (Maria Santissima Annunziata) in the town of Partinico, Sicily to celebrate the presbyteral ordination of Giampiero Lunetto, C.PP.S. The eucharistic celebration was presided over by Archbishop Michele Pennisi of the Archdiocese of Monreale.

The newly ordained Rev. Lunetto, was incorporated into the Missionaries of the Precious Blood on September 24, 2016 and ordained a deacon on September 25, 2016. He was subsequently assigned to the parish of the Body and Blood of Christ for his diaconal ministry.

On the day following the presbyteral ordination, the newly ordained Rev. Lunetto presided for the first time at the celebration of the Liturgy. The mass was held at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Bridge (Santuario della Madonna del Ponte) in his hometown of Partinico.

May God continue to bless Rev. Giampiero Lunetto, C.PP.S. in his priestly ministry.
