Italian Province Celebrates Four Ordinations

On Saturday, April 2 the Italian Province of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood celebrated the ordination of four Missionaries to the priesthood.  For Settimio Carone, Giuseppe Pandolfo, Francesco Pellegrino, and Emanuele Ruggeri the liturgy was the culmination of years of formation, studies, and prayer.

Celebrating with the newly ordained priests were hundreds of people including many Missionaries of the Precious Blood, seminarians, friends, and family members. The liturgy took place in the Cathedral of St. Stephen in Milazzo, Sicily and was presided over by Archbishop Matteo Maria Zuppi, the newly appointed Metropolitan Archbishop of Bologna.  Zuppi has had a long relationship with the Missionaries and presided at several ordinations for the Congregation when he was the auxiliary bishop of Rome.

The four new priests concelebrated the eucharist on Sunday, April 3 and then everyone enjoyed a celebratory banquet.
