On Saturday, May 12, 12 candidates who have completed their theological education and their formation were accepted for Incorporation. The main celebrant at the mass was the Moderator General, who in his prepared and written homily wanted to underline those specificities that make the CPPS vocation and the CPPS charism and identity as a gift to the Church of India. The rite of incorporation was fulfilled by Fr. Emanuele Lupi, delegate of the Indian Commission.
The next day, May 13, these 12 new members, along with two others already incorporated, were admitted to the order of diaconate. The celebrant was the former Archbishop of Bangalore, Ignatius Pinto. In this homily he underlined the meaning of vocation and of diaconate as a service to the Church and his people and invited the newly ordained deacons to spend fruitfully their time of diaconate in the service of the people; to make it a time of preparation for the greater service they will fulfill when they will be ordained priests.
