Rev. Florentino Imbali Incanha, C.PP.S. was ordained a priest at St. Anthony Parish Safi in Guinea Bissau on June 18, 2016.  Several Missionaries of the Precious Blood from the Iberian Province, including V. Rev. Luis Filipe Cardoso Fernandes, C.PP.S., traveled to Guinea Bissau to join in the celebration.  Bishop José Câmnate na Bissign, the bishop of Bissau, presided at the liturgy which was also attended by numerous friends and family of the newly ordained priest.

Fr. Florentino was born on February 16, 1986 in Bissau and entered the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 2006.  He studied at Bissakil seminary and finished his philosophy and theology courses at the major seminary of Don Settimio Ferrazzeta in Bissau.  At the conclusion his studies in Bissau, Florentino has been assigned to Madrid to receive further training in spirituality and formation.

Fr. Florentino chose a theme for his ordination and mass of thanksgiving from St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians, “Be servants of one another in love” (Gal 5:13).

This was the second ordination of a Missionary of the Precious Blood from Guinea Bissau.  Missionaries from the Iberian Province minister in Guinea Bissau, Spain, and Portugal.
