On June 20, 2022 at 10:00 p.m., Fr. Santos Palomeros Gonzalez died at the University of Cáceres Hospital, due to cerebral ischemia.

Fr. Santos Palomero González was born in Moriñigo (Salamanca) on August 9 , 1939.

He was incorporated to the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, as a member of the Iberian Province, on December 29 and was ordained a priest on July 11, 1963.

He served in the Iberian Province:

 -In Cáceres, as formator of the CPPS Seminarians for a year

-At the Colegio San Francisco Javier of Fuente de Cantos, as Professor and for a time Director of the same institution.

-Pastor in the Orcasitas Parish and associate pastor in La Fortuna parish.

-For a few years he developed his missionary vocation in Paraguay, in a parish in Chaco. After a while he returned to Spain to join the Iberian Province.

-He was parish pastor for 21 years in Santiago del Campo (Cáceres) with his residence in the Casa del Sol of Cáceres

On June 22 , at 11 in the morning, the Bishop of the Diocese of Coria-Cáceres, Mons. Jesús Pulido, presided over the celebration of his funeral, in which members of the CPPS Iberian Province and diocesan priests participated.
