Fr. Patrick Sena was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 9, 1939. He was professed to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood on August 15, 1960 and ordained a priest on June 4, 1966 for the Cincinnati Province.
He received a Masters of Arts degree in theology from the University of Dayton in 1965 and the S.T.L. from the Pontifical Lateran University in 1968. In 1971 he received a S.S.L. from the Pontifical Biblical Institute. Fr. Sena also studied at the University of Detroit and the Catholic Institute of Paris, France.
Fr. Patrick joined the Atlantic Province in 1982 when he was a full professor at Mount St. Marys Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio; a post that he held from 1972-1983. In 1983 he began teaching and was a much beloved and popular teacher of Sacred Scripture at the Archdiocesan Seminary of St. Vincent for Miami in Boynton Beach, Florida. He published articles and ephemera on biblical subjects and was a member of the Catholic Bibilical Association and the American Association of University Professors. After his retirement from teaching in 2005, he remained active in ministry in Florida.
Fr Sena dies on November 10, 2012. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Marh 19 at St Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pampano Beach, Florida, in the Archdiocese of Miami; Archbishop Thomas Wenski presiding.
