Fr. Maria Arul Charles was born on 24th Oct 1977, at Vadagari, Kumbakonam Dt., Tamil Nadu.
His parents are Maria Arul and Sebasthiyanamma. He has one sister and four brothers.
He joined the Congregation of the Most Precious Blood in 2000. From 2001 – 2003 he did his philosophy at Kristu Jyothi College, Bangalore. In 2003 he did his regency at Madikeri. From 2004 – 2006 he did his theology at Kristu Jyothi College. In 2007 he did his pastoral ministry at Villupuram. In 2008, on November 15th he was ordained a priest.
He did his priestly ministry at St. Paul’s Church, Marikuppam, K.G.F. From 2009 – 2011 he was the Director of the community College at K.G.F.
