Fr. José Noé Lemus Muñoz, C.PP.S. Returns to the House of the Father

Father Noé Lemus was born on July 27, 1954 in the village of La Labor Vieja, San Pedro Ayampuc, Guatemala. He carried out his formative process in Santiago de Chile where he was definitively incorporated into Congregation on October 21, 1984. He was the first CPPS Guatemalan priest. He was ordained on January 25, 1986 in Guatemala.

Because the mission in Guatemala was small,  he assumed for several years the direction and formation of the mission in Guatemala. He exercised his priestly and missionary ministry at the service of the poor and needy. His simplicity, closeness and human warmth were characteristics that identified him in the parish community.

He ministered at the parish of Our Lady of the Precious Blood in Guatemala City for eight years. On December 8, 2020, he was appointed associate pastor at the Sangre de Cristo Parish of La Labor Vieja, his birthplace.

Father Noé died on February 17, 2021 in his bedroom due to a heart attack. May the Lord welcome him in his kingdom. Rest in peace Father Noé.
