After 45 years of a dedicated missionary service to the People of Tanzania, Fr. Dino Gioia expressed his will to return to the mother Province and his home land of Italy.
The farewell was celebrated at Itigi on the 23rd of September 2011. Participating in the celebration were many members of the Vicariate, Fr. Giuseppe Montenegro (Provincial Director Italian Province) and Bp. Desiderius Rwoma (Ordinary Catholic Diocese of Singida, Tanzania).
In his speech to the multitude of people gathered for the event, Fr. Dino assured the Vicariate and all peoples of his continual love and confirmed his departure by citing Jesus’ words on the cross “all is accomplished.”
CPPS Tanzania, with heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Dino and to Almighty God for the many graces received through the service of Fr. Dino, wishes Fr. Dino a safe return to Italy, a successful apostolate and a warm welcome when he returns to visit Tanzania.
