
On December 3, 2021, during the feast of Saint Francis Xavier, the Missionaries of the Precious Blood Latin American Province, district of Brazil, definitively incorporated Gilson Souza da Cruz into the Congregation. The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Dom Teodoro Mendes Tavares, C.S.Sp. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in the Archdiocese of Bethlehem, staffed by CPPS Missionaries. All the other members of the district of Brazil were present, as well as the Provincial of the Latin American Province, Father Máximo Mesías Alarcón, who solemnly directed the Rite of Incorporation.
Gilson has completed his studies obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. By 2022 the new member will live in the city of Altamira, he will be the vocation promoter of the district of Brazil, he will continue to collaborate with the lay associates (Family of the Blood of Christ) and he will serve in the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help along with the rest of the members of the Altamira community.
Days later, on December 12, feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Congregation had another reason to celebrate. In Bogotá, Colombia, the Latin American Province permanently incorporated three new members: Nairo Fernando Idrobo Jacanamejoy, Edwin Alberto Mayor, and Óscar Eduardo Quiroz Naranjo. The celebration was presided by the Latin American Provincial, Fr. Máximo Mesía Alarcon, and concelebrated by the members: Fr. José Deardorff, Fr. Fredy Campos, Fr. Dionicio Alberca, Fr. Aurélio Chipana and Fr. Damián Siwicki. The ASC sisters from Peru and the Lay Associates from Colombia also participated in the celebration in the company of the parishioners.
