Father Mario Dariozzi has returned to the House of the Father

Fr. Mario was born to Quirino Dariozzi and Lucia Zamponi in Urbisaglia on 12 October 1934. His brothers were Fr. Hadrian, Marcello, and Graziano. He was baptized in the Church of San Lorenzo on 14 October 1934.

He graduated from the Angelo Secchi Higher Institute. He obtained a Bachelor in Philosophy and Theology at the Gregorian University. He entered the society in Albano on September 11, 1946. He was definitively incorporated into the Congregation on January 5, 1956. He was ordained deacon on July 13, 1958 and priest on August 3, 1958.

After his priestly ordination he went to Cesena as an orphanage assistant. He moved to Rome in October 1963 as Bursar of the College of the Precious Blood. In November 1956 he moved to Laveno as Bursar of the College of the Precious Blood. In October 1968 he went as a missionary to Tanzania. In December 1972 he was appointed Superior of the missionary station of Itigi.

On 15 June 1976 he was elected Provincial Director. On 22 March 1978 he moved to Piazza dei Crociferi, headquarters of the Italian Province. In 1980 he was reelected Provincial Director, a mandate which ended in 1984.

The following year he was appointed Director of the Pious Union of the Most Precious Blood. In 1990 he began his service as pastor in Florence in the Parish of the Precious Blood, entrusted to our Congregation. In 2001 he went to Rimini as Local Director.

On 30 October 2022 he arrived in the Community of Albano Laziale. The Lord called him to himself on December 19, 2022 due to a pneumonia result of a Covid infection.
