Fr. Johannes Stegmaier died on September 6, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1939 in Gerolsbach, Germany.

He got to know the Missionaries of the Precious Blood through the popular missions done  in his parish. On December 14, 1965 he made his definitive incorporation as a missionary and was ordained priest on June 29, 1968.

Fr. Johannes was initially a pastor in Maria Baumgärtle and a chaplain in Salzburg-Parsch, then he taught at the Paulinum in Strassberg until 1979. From 1981 Fr. Johannes was parish vicar in Westerheim and then also in Egg an der Günz. He was a good shepherd for the faithful entrusted to him and joyful minister. He was in ministry in this community until his passing.

Fr. Johannes Stegmaier was buried in the cemetery of Westerheim. May he receive a share in the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a reward for his faithful priestly and missionary service.
