On September 28, 2019, Don Valerio Volpi, CPPS, was ordained in Rome for the Italian Province. Crowds thronged the church of San Gaspare del Bufalo for the ordination, which was conferred by Don Matteo Zuppi, archbishop of Bologna, who would be made cardinal a week later.

Don Valerio was born in Rome in 1991 and entered the formation program of the Congregation in 2010. He was definitively incorporated in 2018.
