What a joy for the Congregation and for the entire Church! Today, January 12, Don Giovanni Merlini was beatified during a magnificent celebration at the Saint John Lateran. Flocks of pilgrims gathered in Rome for the celebration, together with CPPS Missionaries, Adorers and members from other Congregations under the banner of the Blood of Christ joined in the celebration.

It was a wonderful solemn Mass presided by Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery of the Causes of Saints, who remembered in his homily that the new Blessed was a man of contemplation and action, who invites us all to follow the steps of Martha and Mary: prayer and reaching out are two basic pillars of the Christian life.

Don Giovanni Merlini will continue to intercede for us, but do not give up praying for his intercession.
