On December 13, 2020 at 4 pm our missionary Sergio Luiu took a further and important step on his path towards the priesthood by saying “Yes” to the Lord, receiving the gift of the diaconate in the cathedral of Benevento by the laying on of the hands of Archbishop Felice Accrocca. Together with Sergio, another new deacon was ordained, Vincenzo Cioffi, diocesan.

At the celebration were present the Provincial Fr. Terenzio Pastore, the rector of the seminary Fr. Luigi de Fazio, the vice rector Fr. Vincenzo Giannuzzi and the seminarians Erik Strollo and Luca Di Mario.

Sergio’s “Yes” is a great gift both for the whole Congregation but also for the Parish of Santa Maria degli Angeli and Sant’Anna in Benevento, as they will be able to share with him this great joy.
