Today the Assembly entered into the Appreciative Discernment Process, which will be the foundation for much of the work of the Assembly. After a brief overview of the process by Bill Nordenbrock, the participants began the Discovery phase and spent the morning in pairs conducting mutual interviews. The goal of this first step is to get the participants talking about our Congregation when we are at our best. In the afternoon the participants will begin to meet in small groups. These groups will remain the same throughout the two weeks of the Assembly. Through the sharing of parts of what they heard from each other during the interviews, the groups will begin to describe the CPPS community at its best, and highlight those ways in which we are already “a prophetic multicultural communion for the renewal of the Church and the reconciliation of the world.”

Hoy la Asamblea entró en el proceso de Discernimiento Apreciativo, que será la fundación de la mayor parte del trabajo durante la Asamblea. Después de una pequeña introducción al proceso por Bill Nordenbrock, los participates comenzaron la fase del Descubrimiento y utilizatron la mañana en parejas para entrevistarse mutuamente. La meta de este primer paso es hacer que los participantes hablen de nuestra Congregación cuando somos lo mejor que podemos ser. Por la tarde los participantes se reunirán en grupos pequeños. Estos grupos seran los mismos durante las dos semanas de la Asamblea. A través del compartir de parte de lo que han escuchado de otros durante las entrevistas, los grupos comenzarán a describir la comunidad CPPS cuando es lo mejor que puede ser, y destacar aquellas formas en las que ya somos “una comunidad multicultural y profética para la renovación de la Iglesia y la reconciliación del mundo”.

Oggi l’Assemblea è entrata nel merito del metodo del “Discernimento Aprezzativo”, metodo che sarà alla base di molto del lavoro della Assemblea. Dopo una breve panoramica sul metodo, tenuta da Bill Nordenbrock, i partecipanti hanno cominciato con la cosiddetta fase della “Scoperta” e quindi speso la mattinata a coppie di due persone facendosi una mutua intervista. L’obiettivo di questo primo passo era di portare i partecipanti a parlare della loro Congregazione al meglio. Nel pomeriggio i partecipanti cominceranno poi ad incontrarsi in piccoli gruppi. Questi gruppi rimarranno gli stessi per le due settimane della Assemblea. Attraverso la condivisione di parte di quanto hanno essi udito l’uno dall’altro durante le interviste, i gruppi cominceranno a descrivere la comunità CPPS al suo meglio ed evidenziando in questo modo in che modo siamo già “una multiculturale comunione profetica per il rinnovamento della Chiesa e la riconciliazione del mondo”.
