October is celebrated by the Church as a missionary month and the CPPS celebrates the feast day of St. Gaspar Del Bufalo.  October is also  is significant to CPPS Tanzania, as it marks the beginning of our formation year.

On 14th October 2012 at Ven Merlini Formation House, at Miyuji in Dodoma, Fr. Reginald Mrosso celebrated the official opening, in which, 11 candidates were admitted to the first formation program and 8 candidates to the second formation programs.

The gospel for the day (Mark 10:17-30) was the story of  the young rich man asking Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life.  After passing the test of commandments, he fails in the aspect of selling all and  giving to the poor so that he can follow Jesus.

Based on such Gospel passage, Fr. Reginald called the candidates to a deep discernment; a necessary pre-requisite towards true discipleship and a necessary road that safeguards one from falling into illusion and indecisiveness.

May the Lord of harvest provide the Church and CPPS with abundant laborers.
