In the first year (June 2012-May 2013) of the Bicentennial observance, we remembered the blessed history of the Congregation; the history of St. Gaspar and of the CPPS.  CPPS Tanzania has now launched into second year of preparation towards Bicentenary through the convening of a Precious Blood Week, held June 26-29, 2013 at St. Gaspar College in Morogoro.

The theme of our reflections was reconciliation. This is a theme of particular interest, not only in our Biblical tradition but also in African philosophy, as it concerns day to day living

Participating in the week with the Precious Blood Missionaries and seminarians, were religious from other congregations (including Franciscans) and many laity.

Apart from liturgical moments, the week was animated and enriched by presentations on: Reconciliation in the Bible by Fr. William Ngowi, OFMCap, Reconciliation in African Traditions by Fr. Thaddeus Siya, CSsP; the Spirituality of the Precious Blood and Reconciliation by Fr. Eugene Nchimbi, cpps; Problem solving and Peace building by Fr. Egidius Seneda, cpps; and several other presentations prepared by seminarians of the Precious Blood.

This same theme will be celebrated in Vicariate’s districts of Manyoni, Dodoma, Morogoro, Dar-es-Salaam and our members serving overseas..
