The Vicariate of Tanzania met in an Electoral Assembly June 9-13, 2014. The Assembly was supervised by Fr. Oliviero Magnone, Provincial Director of Italian Province.  We also welcomed Fr. Giandomenico Piepoli, a member of the General Council who accompanied him.

Day one of the Assembly was dedicated to the Opening Mass and review of procedures.  On the second day we met for a seminar on leadership; which was facilitated by Fr. Francis Bartoloni, the previous Moderator General. The seminar was a success, thanks to the Appreciative Discernment method employed.

We began the third day in spiritual reflection, animated by Fr. Giandomenico Piepoli.  In the afternoon we re-elect Fr. Reginald Mrosso as Vicariate Director.

On the fourth day of the Electoral Assembly, we elected the following Vicariate councilors:  Fr. Gregory Mkhotya- First Councilor and Vice Director (reconfirmed); Fr. Egidius Seneda- Second Councilor and Secretary (the former third councilor); Fr. Francis Bartoloni- third Councilor, and Fr. Richard Kungi- fourth Councilor and Treasurer.

The Vicariate continues to thank God for His immense blessings, while asking for the favor of His protection.
