At the XVIII CPPS General Assembly a new sentence was formulated: “Let’s recognize that the lay associates (USC, Companions and others) are a blessing for our Congregation and let’s appreciate their presence. Moreover, we commit ourselves to collaborate with them in mission”.
Therefore, the Missionaries of Precious Blood belonging to the Polish Province collaborate strictly with the lay associates, most of all the ones affiliated to the Community of the Precious Blood (WKC). Our Congregation spread its charisma to the members of the lay community by helping them with their calling. Participating to the charisma of the Blood of Christ and bearing witness with their lives, the lay associates become missionary witness of Christ in the world. They are also called to preach the message of the Blood of Christ, to be an extension of the CPPS mission, to complement one another in the variety of callings and tasks that God gave us in the common charisma of the Blood of Christ.
The missionary calling should not be understood in geographical terms. It is universal. Moreover, the missionary field of the lay associates is their town, parish, home. It does not mean that their mission is less important. For instance, they have the opportunity to reach those places that the missionaries cannot reach every day. Besides, the lay associates are called to listen to the “Cry of the Blood” and to answer the needs of the world as the missionaries do. This is the reason why our partners go where there are problems, wounds and sorrows. They go to jails, hospitals, nursing homes with dying people to bring them the message of the love of God that has been revealed in the Blood of Christ. Blood that shows how great is the value of the lives of the human beings.
