More that seventy Companions (lay associates) of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood gathered for a day of prayer and reflection during the second annual Companions Day of Pilgrimage at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue, Ohio. The shrine is sponsored by the Missionaries, who are in ministry there.
After lunch and table discussion among the attendees Fr. David Matz, C.PP.S., gave a presentation on the apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium (Joy of the Gospel). The pilgrimage also included a Mass in the shrine’s outdoor chapel, and closed with Eucharistic Devotions focused on a Scriptural Chaplet of the Precious Blood.
