On Sunday, November 30, 2015 the Missionaries of the Precious Blood hosted the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s opening Mass for the Year of Consecrated Life.  Fr. Angelo Anthony, C.PP.S., the Pastor of Emmanuel Catholic Church and  Br. Matt Schaefer, C.PP.S.  worked with The Archdiocesan Office of Religious to organize the celebration.

Bishop Joseph Binzer, Auxiliary Bishop of Cincinnati, was the principal celebrant.  A number of Missionaries of the Precious Blood and Marianist priests concelebrated with him.  Religious and Consecrated laity from all over the Archdiocese were among the over 600 people in attendance.  During his homily Bishop Binzer asked the assembly to thank all of the Consecrated persons in attendance with a round of applause.   A reception was held after mass where members of the various religious communities were able to share something of their history and charism with those in attendance.
