The members of the Central American Mission gathered at St. Gaspar Seminary in Guatemala City for three days of retreat in preparation for the election of their Director and Council.  Retreat talks were given by Fr. Abel Cruz, Fr. Sebastian Argueta and Fr. Larry Hemmelgarn. There was plenty of time for both individual and community prayer during the retreat.

The Mission elected Fr. Noé Lemus to serve as its new Director, to be supported by Frs. Abel Cruz and Antonio José Hernández who will serve as Councilors.  The Provincial Council of the Cincinnati Province has already ratified the election and the members will take office in January.

In addition to the retreat and elections, on Friday November 7, 2014 the members of the Central American Mission gathered with the local community and visitors to celebrate the first temporary Incorporation of Mario Alberto Membreño Granados and the renewal of the temporary Incorporations of Carlos Isaías Vásquez Muralles, Victor Manuel Navichoc Menchú, Carlos Tut Beb and Lucas Tiul Coc.  During the same Eucharistic celebration Victor was instituted into the ministry of Lector.  The Incorporations were received by Fr. Larry Hemmelgarn, Provincial Director of the Cincinnati Province.
