On Saturday, December 10  we had a real feast day. We had two candidates, Ivaldo Corrêa and Lourenço Rodrígues da Silva, Jr., celebrate their temporary incorporation. Ivaldo is a Brother candidate and he will work in Altamira in one of the hospitals of the city. Lourenço will continue his theological studies in the CPPS Latin America joint formation program in Bogota, Columbia.

Additionally,  Gutemberg Pereira was ordained deacon for the Prelature of the Xingu. He finished his theological studies last year and joined our formation program in January. Because he has been with us only this short time, he has not yet been incorporated into the Community.  Bishop Erwin Kräutler has accepted him as deacon for the Prelature, but he will live and work with us in Altamira and continue in the formation program. At the appropriate time, we hope for his incorporation and he will then pass from the Prelature to the Vicariate.
