Celebration in the Peruvian Mission

During the month of August the Missionaries of the Precious Blood around the world celebrated the Bicentennial of their founding by St. Gaspar del Bufalo.  In the Peruvian Mission a celebration was held at the parish of San Francisco de Borja.  Priests, brothers, parishioners, and friends of the Missionaries gathered to celebrate mass and then a large reception was held in honor of the Bicentennial.  Several different groups entertained the participants with Peruvian dances and school children joined in a procession around the neighborhood as well.  The Missionaries of the Precious Blood have ministered in Peru since 1962.
