From May 2-6  the seminarians of the Indian Vicariate gathered for their annual meeting at St. Gaspar Ashram. The Vicariate has seminarians scattered in different seminaries and in different States of the Indian Confederation. Every year, at the beginning of May, at the end of the academic and formation year they gather together in Bangalore for an intense commitment of living community, sharing experiences, and just for the sake to tell each other they are part of one family.

In the morning, the seminarians listened to various members of the Vicariate who would share with them the various ministries they do, like formation, parish, preaching and teaching. In the afternoon they engaged in group and plenary discussions planning the upcoming year. There was also time for sports and recreation and other activities that would express their creativity. The Vicariate enjoys 40 students in different stages of formation.

At the end of the gathering, 14 of them received the white cassock. They are those who have finished the course of Philosophy and are ready to go for the year of Regency; a time of pastoral activity in various Church and religious institutions. Those with necessary qualifications will be engaged in teaching in schools; others will be involved in ministering and giving instruction to street boys living in hostels; while others will help in parishes.
