From July 24 to July 30, eighteen Precious Blood formators gathered at the International Center of Precious Blood Spirituality for a workshop devoted to the “Pedagogy of Precious Blood Spirituality.” The Center is located at the Teutonic Province’s Kolleg St. Josef in Salzburg, Austria.
Rev. Ben Berinti, C.PP.S., from the Cincinnati Province, led the seven day workshop which centered on helping formators develop a robust understanding of our Precious Blood spirituality as well as familiarity with several different spiritual activities which can help assess our candidates’ understanding of the spirituality.
Berinti’s presentations highlighted the Incarnational-Apostolic nature of our spirituality. The formators spent time studying this approach and connecting it to our Precious Blood spirituality and patrimony. Several different tools, such as theological reflection and spiritual narratives, were presented to the formators for their use in their individual programs.
The workshop was sponsored by the General Curia of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood with the hope of continuing to develop a shared understanding of our charism across all fifteen provinces, vicariates, and missions of the Congregation.
