For the second year in a row our parish “San Francisco de Borja” in Lima (Perù) has prepared a blood donation campaign with the motto: “let’s promote life united in the Blood of Christ”. This solidarity action took place this year on the 2nd and the 9th of July. The volunteers’ blood is destined to the children at the Hospital del Niño in San Borja district. Most of them come from the interior of the country and their families are very poor. Many of them come with serious burns, others suffer from late-stage cancer and diseases whose treatments require blood. The Hospital is supported by the solidarity projects of many people and institutions. As Missionaries of the Precious Blood of Christ working in “San Francisco de Borja” parish, we promote the Precious Blood Spirituality among our parishioners who become more and more aware of the importance of donating blood. It is an act of love for our neighbour in need as a way to have faith in Christ who loved us until the last drop of his Blood.
