It’s been four days of joy, of meetings, of communion with one another and with the Lord.  We spent four days on the road towards Him and found new strength at the well of His Word.

The young people of the Sanguis Christi Union met together in Frascati, near Rome, from Jan 3rd to Jan 6th, at the XXIX National Meeting. The title of the gathering was “I would like to have a thousand tongues”. And indeed we had many different tongues! Participants from Germany and from Tanzania traveled miles and miles to join us.

The invited speakers were:  the journalist Rosario Carello, Sister Carolina and Pino Martinez, who worked together with the blessed Pino Puglisi, killed by the Sicilian Mafia in 1993, and the godmother of the Talent Awards, Alessia Mancini. To top it off, we warmly received the speeches of Bishop Zuppi and our very own Father Barry Fischer, Father Walter Milandu, and Father Domenico d’Alia.

We listened with rapture to the “sound that mixes Heaven and Earth”, beautifully played by our band, the BloodSound; and we were brought to the very age when Saint Gaspar lived through the heartfelt performance of our acting group, God’s Comedians.

It’s been a full, rich four days, where our souls had room to breathe. It’s been four days of joy!
