Every year the members of the Atlantic Province have been celebrating the day of our foundation in Niagara Falls, Ontario.  For the occasion new lay members are incorporated into the USC.  For the 200th anniversary of our foundation we celebrated August 15 in Toronto at the International Plaza Hotel.  The day long event included the viewing of the video on St. Gaspar and the foundation of the Missionaries; a talk by Fr. Clarence Williams, CPPS, on the power of the Blood of Christ; the celebration of the Eucharist and the homily by the Most Rev. Gerald Bergie, Bishop of St. Catharine’s; and a live panel discussion hosted by Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB, director of Salt and Light TV.  The choir group El Shaddai sang throughout the day including a hymn in Italian to St. Gaspar.  The whole event was streamed live and taped by Radio Maria Canada.

More than 430 people were present at the event that has been defined as uplifting and galvanizing.  One participant commented, “Let me join the bandwagon congratulating the Congregation of Missionaries of The Precious Blood, Atlantic Province, organizers, volunteers, participants and all for the awesome, amazing and great 200th Anniversary!

It was a spiritual, inspirational, empowering, relaxing, beautiful, educational, awesome, practical, needed, unforgettable, amazingly great and true life celebration! All for the Greater Glory of God!”
