On February 6, members of the Precious Blood family gathered in the Archbishop’s Palace in Naples, Italy. They join Crescencio Sepe, Cardinal Archbishop of Naples and the appointed members of the Ecclesial court for the Cause of the Saint to participate in the opening of the investigative process into a miracle that we believed occurred through the intercession of Venerable John Merlini.

The investigation is a requirement for the Beatification process of Venerable John Merlini. The alleged miraculous healing of Mr. Ciriaco Cefalo occurred in February of 2015 in a Naples hospital. This initial investigation at the tribunal of the Archdiocese of Naples will take several monthes. They will decide if the evidence of a miraculous intercession is strong enough to make a recommendation to the Congregation for the Cause of the Saints. If so the process will continue in the Holy See.
