We can freely say that on August 25, 2024, a new page in the history of the Croatian Mission of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood was opened. The opening of this page, which tells about the new step forward of the Missionaries in Croatia, began on July 9th, 2024, with the signing of the Agreement between the Diocese of Dubrovnik and the Croatian Mission, and continued on August 20th, with the assumption of spiritual care for the Dubrovnik General Hospital, and on August 21, 2024, with the signing of the church and parish documentation on the handover of the Holy Savior Parish, Mokosica, entrusted to the Missionaries to the administration.
The Bishop of Dubrovnik Msgr. Roko Glasnovic at the solemn mass celebration in the Parish of the Holy Savior on Sunday, August 25 introduced two CPPS priests: Fr. Davor Lukacevic as parish pastor and Fr. Marijan Zubak as parish vicar. With the arrival of this two CPPS priests, the Missionaries of the Precious Blood begin to operate in the Dubrovnik Diocese.
The new Pastor then addressed the faithful and briefly introduced himself and the congregation of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood to which he and the vicar, Fr. Marijan, belong.
“I have already noticed your openness, your willingness to serve, your desire to give your talents to the parish community. A parish is not just a Pastor and Vicar. Together, we will participate in the spiritual growth of this parish. I thank God for this grace and opportunity”, said the new Pastor.
